Washi tape at the 10a Alabama Arts & Crafts Fair

Hey Kessy and its washi tape joined the imaginative and quirky at the 5th 10a Alabama Arts & Crafts Fair last December 10 to 11.

The fifth and last held this year, over 30 participants took over the snug spaces inside 10a Alabama Street in New Manila selling their handcrafted wares such as paintings, collages, artworks, jewelry, plush toys, decors, and clothes. Even carpentry work filled the rustic tables and shelves of the house turned gallery/cafe.

Though it rained throughout the two days, the atmosphere was warm amongst the people as newbie and past sellers couldn't help but purchase from their fellow participants, a few times even exchanging items among themselves.

The event was capped with a rather exciting variation of exchange gift and a salu-salo, where the food was just as good as the company.

Watch out for the next 10a Alabama Arts and Crafts fair early next year!

Have a Hey Kessy Christmas! By Life After Breakfast

Full-time artsy Alessandra Lanot wrote a delightful review of Hey Kessy washi tape on her blog: Life After Breakfast. Even better were the pictures of how she was able to magically transform simple, plain white boxes into candy wrapped presents we wish were meant for us!

As a promo, she's giving away three rolls of Hey Kessy washi tape to two lucky followers of her blog. Read the post and see how you can win! Thank you so much, Alessa!

Hey Kessy will join the 10a Alabama Arts & Crafts Fair - December 11-12

Fresh from last week's bazaar, we here at Hey Kessy are readying our washi tape as we join yet another one this coming weekend: the 10a Alabama Arts & Crafts Fair!

Now on it's 5th year, the Alabama Arts & Crafts fair will be on December 10 and 11, 2011, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm at 10a Alabama Street, New Manila, QC.  You can view a map at their facebook page.

What's so special about this event? Says this article from clickthecity.com, "What makes it such a different and enjoyable experience is the fact that all the items are handmade, the people who man the booths are the ones who make the items too, so buyers can interact with the artists."

We're expecting to be wowed by the creations of the many other participants :) See you guys there!

What a treat! Hey Kessy washi tapes in UP

It was cold and raining all day, but inside the Bahay ng Alumni in UP Diliman, it was all warm with smiles as Hey Kessy joined its first bazaar last Sunday, December 4, at the Triple Treat Tiangge. It was a mixture of anxiousness and excitement for us as it was our first try at selling washi tape, but it proved worth while with people reacting well to the items and buying some for themselves.

Thank you so much to all those who bought tape from Hey Kessy and the new friends we made throughout the day!

We'll be joining another bazaar this coming weekend. Details to follow, so watch out for announcements here, on Twitter, and Facebook.

Washi tape from Hey Kessy!

Hey Kessy brings washi tape to the Philippines! Washi tape is decorative sticky tape that come in pretty colors and patterns. A type of paper tape because it tears like paper, washi tape started in Japan and has now spread to the arts and crafts community around the world.

Washi tape will be sold on the Hey Kessy website soon, making it available to crafters and ordinary artsy people in the Philippines. While we're setting up shop, we'll be joining some bazaars to help spread the word about Hey Kessy and washi tape.
